About Junto

A coaching practice built from years of studying how real change happens—and how people can move forward naturally and sustainably.

The Work Behind Junto

For more than 20 years, I’ve grappled with the same question:

Why is change so difficult—even when we genuinely want it?

Why do capable, thoughtful, resourceful people still find themselves stuck in patterns they can see clearly, but can’t seem to shift? Why does insight so often fail to translate into meaningful movement?

That question has shaped much of my life’s work.

Over the years, I’ve explored it through coaching, wellness, leadership development, behavior change, and human performance—studying, practicing, certifying, building, partnering, and testing what actually helps people move forward in sustainable ways.

That path led me into work with pioneers in the wellness industry, including the development of a personal wellness app used around the world. It led into leadership change and coach development, where I helped shape an ICF Level 1 & 2 coaching curriculum designed to deepen the way coaches listen, partner, and facilitate transformation. It also led into the mental health coaching space, where I gained additional perspective on the intersection of emotional well-being, leadership, and change.

Over time, those experiences began to converge.

What emerged was not a single method or borrowed framework, but a more integrated understanding of what people actually need in order to change—not just intellectually, but practically, relationally, and internally.

Junto grew from that understanding.

It was built on the belief that meaningful forward movement doesn’t usually come from trying harder. More often, it comes from greater access to the intelligence of the whole system. It recognizes that people are not linear, and change is rarely mechanical. Our patterns, adaptations, lived experiences, and internal conditions all shape what movement feels like—and what allows it to become possible.

That understanding became the foundation of my work.

What Shaped This Work

Junto was shaped through years of work across coaching, wellness, and leadership—each one offering a different lens into how people change.

Together, they revealed a shared truth: meaningful movement happens when people are supported as whole systems, not managed as isolated parts.

Coaching

Coaching has shown that its power lies in creating a safe space where people—already fully capable—can access what is true for them, discover what is ready to move, and take their own choices forward. It turns insight into action, reflection into meaningful change, and supports growth from the inside out.

Wellness

Wellness work showed that mindful awareness, nervous system regulation, and skill-based practices create the conditions for real action. These tools help people expand capacity, translate discovery into movement, and build resilience—so change is sustainable, not just short-term effort.

Leadership

Experience in leadership development highlighted the systemic and relational realities people carry: complexity, responsibility, and adaptation. Transformation requires attention to the full system—internal patterns, relationships, and environment—so growth can unfold naturally and sustainably.

Junto exists where coaching, wellness, and leadership come together.

Insight alone may help someone see clearly, but it does not always create lasting change. Action alone may create movement, but not the kind that holds under pressure.

Junto brings these disciplines together to support real change in real life—helping clients build understanding, expand capacity, and move toward what matters in a way that feels natural, sustainable, and fully their own.
